No Sleep Show - Stand-Up After an All-Nighter

Six stand-up comedians awake for 24+ hours is a dumb idea. And we're going to put it on stage.

These comedians have agreed to hang out for a night, write jokes and force each other to stay awake until showtime. That's right they've agreed to...

NO SLEEP TILL
The No Sleep Show!

Will they be cranky?

  • Probably.

Will they be sick of each other?

  • Yes.

Will it be funny?

  • Yes, for the audience.
  • Not for the comics.

If you're an insomniac or just like seeing folks completely remove the minimal amount of filtering they normally have through exhaustion, then this is the show for you.

Featuring: Cait Allen, Brian Barganier, Giancarlo Biondino, Jimmy Blair, Laura Manasewich, and Mo Mussa

Host: B.J. Quagan

Bring your PJs, a pillow and come laugh with us!

(Un)scripted - One Part Memorized, One Part Improvised

In (Un)scripted, one actor has memorized a scripted part and one hapless improviser has to keep up.

Our actors are prepped, propped, and ready to perform. Our improvisers have no idea what's going to happen.

Watch improvisers put their skills to the test by doing full theatrical scenes with no memorization whatsoever -- they don't even know what plays we picked.

Asking For A Friend with Chion Wolf

Asking For A Friend is a live advice* show at Sea Tea Improv's underground comedy theater for curious people with a sense of humor.

Write down your problem, put it in the big red box, and host Chion Wolf (WNPR, The Mouth-Off at The Mark Twain House & Museum, the Hartford Hot Several, Night Fall) will help you figure it all out with her panel of unqualified yet enthusiastic, thoughtful humans.

At the end of the night, Chion picks one audience volunteer randomly who gets a free pair of tickets to next month’s show, and the grand finale is a Reading of Confessions.

Very mature children are invited, and immature adults welcomed, profanity likely.

The audio of each show will be recorded live and released later as a podcast, so if you don't want your snorting laughter or gasps of realizations broadcast to the whole world, please bring your highly-effective muffling techniques.

*DISCLAIMER: This is NOT professional advice! These are people discussing all sorts of problems, telling stories, and exploring philosophical conundrums.

If you're struggling in this chaotic, cruel, funny, absurd, amazing world, and you need someone to talk to, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255.

What's cool is that you don't have to be suicidal to call them. You don't need to be at your lowest point to find help. You are NOT alone, and you’re always welcome at Sea Tea.

Asking For A Friend with Chion Wolf
Saturday, October 20 at 7:00 PM
