Sea Tea Comedy Theater History

August 20, 2016: Sea Tea Comedy Theater opened, the audience packed with so many of our fans & supporters!

July 7, 2016: Grand Opening date (August 20, 2016) and the lineup of some of the very first shows in the theater were announced.

September 23, 2015: Secret hard hat preview tour of the future home of the Sea Tea Comedy Theater at 15 Asylum Street in Hartford, CT!

July 1, 2015: Lease was signed & work began on our theater in the basement of 15 Asylum Street in Hartford, CT! The space was once JP’s Restaurant many years ago, and is part of the building at 11 Asylum.

May 26, 2015: The Kickstarter campaign concluded. We set a goal of $35,000 and were completely overwhelmed by the $60,180 that was donated. Based on our research, our families, friends, and fans who donated made ours the most successful Kickstarter for a comedy theater ever!

March 27, 2015: The Kickstarter for our very own comedy theater was launched at the Hartford Improv Festival.
