Kate Sidley
Kate Sidley is an Emmy-nominated comedy writer and performer who currently writes for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. While working at The Late Show, she’s won a Peabody Award and a Writers Guild Award. She also wrote for the Emmy Awards, for which she got an ID lanyard.
Beyond television, her work can be found in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Reductress, and Someecards. Her book How To Be A Saint is coming out summer of 2025.
She holds a M.A. in Theatre History and Criticism from Brooklyn College and a third of a Ph.D. (so just the P) in Theatre from CUNY Graduate Center. She’s also an alum of the NBC Late Night Writers Workshop and a proud returned Peace Corps volunteer.
