In Sea Tea’s signature theatrical improv course, you will learn rarely taught and underutilized skills to strengthen your character work, tell story without plotting, and use metaphor and emotional commitment to draw audiences in and “earn” your laughs.
Over the course of 7 weeks, we’ll use the works of Tennessee Williams as source material and prepare to perform an hour-long improvised play in his style. No prior knowledge of Williams’ famous plays including A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is needed; you’ll watch the film versions and do a few additional readings. (Yes, there is a small amount of homework!)
