Finding the TRUTH in Comedy
This workshop is about finding and using your own truth in improv scenes. This workshop isn’t about doing the most “grounded” or “realistic” scenes. It’s more about finding a way to ground even the most psychotic scenes in some sort of truth and honesty and using that to make scenes even more insane!
Pre-Req: Intermediate / Completed 2 levels at any improv theater
Instructor: Akmal Tajihan
About the Instructor: Akmal Tajihan is a teacher and performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade. He performs monthly with his improv group Duchovny and he cohosts a monthly show called What The Hell! You can also catch him weekly performing with RaaaatScraps. And if you’re lucky he just might make an appearance at ASSSSCAT, Upright Citizens Brigade’s Signature show! Otherwise he’s at home crying!
