Seeing Your Where

We're taught that clearly establishing the who, what, where at the top of a scene is crucial. But are you living in and seeing your where or just telling us?

In this workshop with UCB's National Training Center Director and Director of Improv, Amanda Breen (AB), you'll learn how to build and actively use your where to enliven, ground and sustain your scene work. Through focused exercises, you'll bring locations and objects to life, making your scenes more dynamic, playable and real.

Pre-Req: Beginner / Completed 1 level at any improv theater

Instructor: Amanda Breen

About the Instructor: Amanda Breen (AB) is an improviser and writer who wears many hats, literally and figuratively.  AB is the former Director of Improv and current National Training Center Director for UCB. They teach improv at UCB NY, Second City Brooklyn, and the Brooklyn Comedy Collective. AB performs weekly with ASSSSCAT, biweekly with veteran team Duchovny, and around the city with indie team soft. They also produce and host a monthly show “What the Hell? An Incredible Improv Show” which brings together veteran and up-and-coming improvisers to put on a damn good improv show, some might even say… an incredible improv show.
