Stand-Up, CT! Is a class for anyone who wants to try stand-up comedy but doesn't know where to start.
Together we will focus your ideas and writing, by applying some simple principles. We will learn best practices to keep improving, and most importantly we will leave the classroom for some real world experience.
CT's comedy culture is growing. It is a unique community. Diverse in its people, its cultures and its artists' experiences. Its uniqueness within the stand-up world can make it hard to navigate. Stand-Up, CT! strives to help with that navigation while fostering a positive and supportive comedy environment.
On week 6 of this class, students will choose local open mics to try!
This class ends with a class share for an invited audience with a supporting guest comedian.
