This summer, Sea Tea Improv is offering a full-weekend comedy intensive for grades 9-12. Whether you’re interested in improv, stand-up, or sketch comedy, after a weekend of classes, you’ll be part of a performance at the Sea Tea Comedy theater!
Is comedy your passion? Would you like to meet some funny new people this summer? Are you often called the class clown in school? Whether you plan to write and perform professionally, or just love making people laugh, this summer comedy program is for you!
We aim to empower young people to use their voices and gifts to create a product they are proud of.

Choose from Three Tracks of Study
We love and teach all forms of comedy. The weekend session will offer three tracks of which you can focus on one:
This track will focus on short forms games in the style of Whose Line Is It Anyway? You’ll learn the concepts of improv comedy, how to think on your feet, and how to put together an improv performance! This group will perform their set during the class show at the end of the weekend.
This track will write and produce comedic sketches similar to those seen on Saturday Night Live, Key & Peele, and Chapelle Show. This group will learn how to take a list of funny ideas and jokes and turn them into a short sketch show that will be performed at the end of the weekend.
Do you find yourself observing weird things in life and laughing? Do you tell these stories to your friends and they laugh? Try stand-up! Taking a funny observation and idea and turning it into a relatable performance will be the focus of this track. Each student in this group will perform their own original stand-up routine at the end of the weekend.
Each track is limited to 8 students.
