It's Not Always About You, Karen!
Instructor: Tara McDonough
Sometimes the scene is about you -- and sometimes it's not! Whether you're protagonist velcro or protagonist teflon, you'll learn how to make smart choices that support the scene and your fellow player.
*Note: This workshop is not just for Karens.
About the Instructor: Tara McDonough has been teaching, performing, and otherwise thinking about improv for over 20 years -- which sometimes feels like a very long time, and sometimes feels like no time at all. She is the creator of You Should Smile More, former Artistic Director and current Education Director of Seacoast New Hampshire's Stranger Than Fiction, co-founder of The Improvised Puppet Project in Portland Maine and San Francisco's Un-Scripted Theater Company, has trained with Keith Johnstone and teachers at BATS Improv, UCB, Magnet Theater, and ImprovBoston, and has performed on stages from Ireland to California. She has taught improv to clowns, shy people, public defenders, and everyone in between.
