Learn the (Un)Scripted improv form!
One actor with lines, and one improviser who has no idea what those lines are. Get introduced to this fun and challenging improv form. Learn how to play through the scene when you're the one who knows what's next or the one who doesn't. Challenge yourself and your partner with big bold choices, and learn how to justify your way out of a corner. You'll act and listen in ways you've never had to before, and create hilarious scenes that can work surprisingly well.
About the Instructor: Helena Morris is from Connecticut and has been performing improv professionally for 6 years. She has been studying improv since 2009 and has taken classes from a range of theaters in the Midwest and on the East Coast. Helena began performing professionally at Huge theater in Minneapolis in a unique longform show called “RomCom” and also performed at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater in “Camilla Presents.” Once back home in Connecticut, Helena joined Sea Tea Improv, began taking classes with Sea Tea and at UCB, and has continued to perform in a variety of shows as well as teach improv in school and corporate workshops. Helena holds a B.A. in Theater, and a B.A. in English from St. Olaf College, as well as a Master’s in Education from University of Saint Joseph.
