Do you find yourself in “talking head” scenes that take place…somewhere…ish? Feel anxious about initiations or that you’re over-thinking your responses?
In this workshop we’ll improve our comfort level and skills at object work, the technique of creating imagined physical things that help define the reality of your scenes.
For the beginning improviser, object work can help you feel calm at the top of a scene and add essential CROW.
For more advanced improvisers, building out the physical reality adds specificity that will draw the audience, and yourself, deeper into your scenes.

Part 1 of a 2-part workshop that is appropriate for all levels of improvisers with some experience (e.g. completed Sea Tea Improv 101). In Part 2 (Spring 2025), we’ll explore how object work can be used in developing game and character.
