Improv Comedy - Hartford, CT

Sea Tea Improv is a troupe of seven players that performs both short-form improv (as seen on “Whose Line is It Anyway”) and long-form improv (made famous by Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade).  We are based in Hartford, Connecticut.

Our mission is to make high-quality, entertaining improvisation widely available in Connecticut.  We love what we do and want to do it as often as possible.  To that end, we will perform just about anywhere, for any length of time (it is improv, after all!).  Sea Tea frequently performs in conjunction with other improv groups in the area, and many of our shows are free to the public.

We offer a monthly dinner theater show in Connecticut’s famous Brew-Ha-Ha Comedy Club in the basement of City Steam Brewery Café. In addition to that, since our inception in April 2009, we have performed both in and out of state at private parties, bars, restaurants, coffee houses, corporate functions, schools, First Night Hartford, the Providence Improv Festival, Improvaganza at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, Connecticut Children’s Hospitals, Trinity on Main and Hole-in-the-Wall Theater in New Britain, and the nation’s oldest public art museum, the Wadsworth Athenaeum.  Come find us!

The members of Sea Tea Improv have logged many hours of professional training with a variety of theaters, including Hartford Stage, and Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City.
