Improv Comedy - Hartford, CT

Sea Tea Improv is a troupe of seven players that performs both short-form improv (as seen on “Whose Line is It Anyway”) and long-form improv (made famous by Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade).  We are based in Hartford, Connecticut.

Our mission is to make high-quality, entertaining improvisation widely available in Connecticut.  We love what we do and want to do it as often as possible.  To that end, we will perform just about anywhere, for any length of time (it is improv, after all!).  Sea Tea frequently performs in conjunction with other improv groups in the area, and many of our shows are free to the public.

Since our inception in early 2009, we have performed at private parties, bars, restaurants, coffee houses, corporate functions, schools, Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, First Night Hartford, and more.  In 2010 Sea Tea will be branching out to children’s hospitals, Hole-in-the-Wall Theater, and the nation’s oldest public art museum, The Wadsworth Athenaeum.  We have a monthly show in Connecticut’s famous Brew-Ha-Ha Comedy Club in the basement of City Steam Brewery Café.  Come find us!

The members of Sea Tea Improv have logged many hours of professional training with a variety of theaters, including The Hartford Stage, and are currently training with The Upright Citizens Brigade.
